SCREENED FOR

A 2015 digital print series of the ultimate selfie - me wearing surgical masks with paintings of  infectious diseases. SARS, West Nile Virus, Influenza, HIV/AIDS, Rotavirus, Rabies, Cholera, Tuberculosis, Ebola, Dengue Fever Virus, Malaria, and Plague.

Screened For was originally exhibited at the Red Head Gallery (Toronto) in 2015. Since then it has shown in exhibitions at the RIXC Art & Science Festival (Riga, Latvia 2020), the BioBAT Art Space (Brooklyn, US 2019), Islip Art Museum (Long Island, US 2015), Riddoch Art Gallery (Mount Gambier, Australia 2017), Fudan University Science Gallery, (Shanghai, China 2016), Gwacheon National Science Museum (Seoul, South Korea 2015), Studio Arts College International (Florence, Italy 2016), and in the exhibition The Body Electric at medical conferences in Toronto and Quebec City (2017).

Screened For has also been shown as a one minute silent film (collaboration with Pixels & Plans) in the April 2020 newsletter for Labocine (Imagine Science Films), at the Bentway CITE Festival (Toronto) in 2018, and the Toronto Urban Film Festival (Toronto) in 2016 where it won the Canadian Urbanism Award. In 2020 it was awarded an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Experimental Forum (film festival).

Screened For has also been featured in numerous magazines, journals, books and articles including the Humber Literary Review (feature and cover,, The New York Times (review), Punctum (cover), On Media, On Technology, On Life (feature), Enorm Magazine (feature), Vlak Magazine, and more.
